About Us
Joint Action was set up in Petersfield in 2003 by Priscilla Ellis-Canzio. Priscilla trained as a physiotherapist at King's College Hospital, London and at the Bobath Centre in London which pioneered neurological physiotherapy for adults and children.
After many years in the NHS, Priscilla went abroad where she taught and worked extensively in rural communities in India, Nepal and Saudi Arabia. These experiences broadened her approach to the treatment of disabilities and, on returning to the UK, Priscilla was convinced of the need for a more community-based physiotherapy service. In 2003 Joint Action was born.
